Improving Your Fashion To Attract the Women You Want

I notice winter boots, especially if they seem really tough. That's got nothing to do with who is wearing them though, and mostly to do with my desire to also have tough winter boots.

If changing your fashion allows you to feel better about how you carry yourself, then by all means. I grew up quite poor, so I don't pay much mind to what people are wearing, unless it is so obviously inappropriate.

Personally, I don't give a blooming honeysuckle what a guys wears, as long as it's clean and in decent shape.
As for attracting girls you WANT, perhaps you should just worry about attracting girls. Just because you WANT something doesn't mean that's what you need or who you are suppose to be with. Uncomfortable, impractical, and not something I would ever buy -- no matter if I can afford it.

lol, you've inspired me a bit to write some recommendations for you/suggestions. I was outside, thinking how clever your name was, 'Will Power,' lol.

I was just thinking, for your, 'persona,' the name or legal name, "Will Powers," would be ******' boss, lol (maybe.. might be taken already..). Everyone would have to adress you as "Mr. Powers." And your name would be, "Will Powers." lol Of course you'd want to pseudonym your way through parts like these, if you were famous, probably; unless you were more the genuine type; but, genuine or not, fame only allows so much time to devote to just, 'being you,' in public.. I digress.

Suggestions:
-There is a book called, "Confidence," by Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic
--Even if you don't consider yourself to be of low self-esteem, the book draws on a lot of research and has a more scientific and curious approach to explaining and attempting to understand what, 'confidence,' actually is, under-the-hood so to speak. My take-away and surprise was that, 'confidence,' isn't all that it's cracked up to be OR what it appears to be, in reality...

-If you find Buddhism or eastern thought, interesting, there is the book called, "The Wisdom of Insecurity," by Alan Watts.
--I haven't read it myself, but, I've read several of his works, listened to him speak in recorded lectures, etc..

-It also came to my mind to recommend that you watch (I thought they did a documentary on him, but maybe not?) Mathew Lesko. He's a really interesting and actually very cool dude; and his fashion sense is purely home-grown, eccentric, and he makes it work, which is not only amazing, but pretty cool and neat.

I wouldn't know how to help you improve a YouTube channel, I don't think, because I tend to disagree with popular trends and the types of attitude one must adopt to gain success in those ventures; but for 1: seems like with some proper pruning and adjustment and the right future formula, you've laid the ground work for hitting it big, at least... (having a lot of content, been doing it for a while, etc.. etc..) and... 2: thought I had more than a 1, but, maybe not.. heh. I could be wrong; but, it seems like with YouTube success, one of the things you have to have is A LOT of backlog of content, consistently new content, good audio/video and camera work (not always necessary though, especially if you're just amazing at presenting yourself), good oration/presentation/performance, a field of interest that can withstand the test of time, and lastly, seems everyone needs that ONE video that just gets millions of hits, and is enough to light up the rest of the channel and get the subscribers, etc.. But, as I said, I don't know crap about any of all that; but, I was impressed by your channel. I think with the proper pruning and fine tuning, it simply becomes a matter of whether you strike it lucky or not.

Maybe you could set a new trend to get rid of the awful previous decade's, 'surprised millennial thumbnails,' lol.

Anywho, those were some of my thoughts, after reading your post, checking out your youtube channel for a bit, and responding..

Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely check them out. The book on Confidence especially sounds interesting. For someone who has lacked confidence for the majority of his life, it's something I still need to improve on. Like I said before, I'm really into personal development, and have read over hundreds of books. I will add yours to the list of ones I still need to read.

Will Powers....I like that, lol. Actually, when I was trying to come up with a YouTube channel name back then, I also did a play on my name with WillYouLaugh. I just made whatever videos were on my mind so there was no theme for my channel. I just couldn't think of anything better and it seemed creative enough. And back then, I wasn't into personal development. As I started to get into personal development though and started making more videos geared towards that, the name of the channel didn't really fit anymore. I think people were thinking it was supposed to be a comedy channel. So I changed it to Will's Personal Development Show. And now, it's morphed into the Will Chow Show.

I actually did manage to get one video that got a million hits. It's my most popular video:



I tried to niche down and make my channel about education tips for students after this video. But I guess it was a fluke because I never managed to duplicate it again. All my other videos have very few views.

For many consumer goods you buy, you get rapidly diminishing increases of quality as the price goes up. The reason is simple. There’s a limit to how “high quality” it can get. Here are some examples:

Photo and video cameras. The picture quality between a $100 one and a $1000 one is huge. Beyond that, you’re spending massive amounts of money for small increases in quality.

Jeans, socks, and underwear. Can you tell the difference between a $2,000 pair of jeans and a $200 pair? Probably not, right?

This is great news. It means you don’t have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to be the most fashionable. Most people can’t tell the difference either, so that’s a great area to cut costs and avoid getting scammed by luxury brands.

My philosophy is to spend a moderate amount for quality, but not too much. If you spend too little, you get horrible quality clothing that rips or shrinks quickly. Others can also easily tell it’s not the best quality. However, if you spend a moderate amount more, you hit the point of indistinguishable high quality.

A moderate quality lasts longer, and looks just as good as something that costs a hundred times more.

The greatest difference in quality comes from that initial few jumps in quality. For the minor articles of clothing mentioned (like socks), one or two jumps in price tier from the cheapest option is enough. For more important clothing, like suits, chinos, and collared shirts, three or four jumps in price are more suitable.

For a suit, that might mean a $1,000 to $2,000 suit rather than a $100 suit. For a t-shirt, that might mean a $30 to $60 one from Banana Republic versus a $5 one from Target.

For shoes, there is a big jump in quality between $100 and $200, and another big jump at $400. Stick around the $200 to $400 range for the best bang for your buck.

The reason I bring this up is because I have had friends suggest to m that I should lease a "luxury" car just because they think I can afford it and they think it is "fun to drive". Honestly OP idk, fashion is hard for some guys, my brother lets me buy all his clothes as he just cant style an outfit.
