Basically just life's circumstances sent me in this direction, addictions , depression, Relationship breakdowns, i could go on
Well, you can fix all that, but you choose not to. You're choosing the opposite way out instead of actually dealing with and healing from it. Mainly half of us have dealt with all of those or a couple of them. But, we can choose to change the behaviors, you just have to want it bad enough. You have to learn to get out of that victim mindset and become a survivor.

Depends what kind of climate you're going into so assuming a wooded environment you will need:
  • a clean water source near your campsite
  • pots to cook and sanitize the water
  • rudimentary tools such as axes saws shovels
  • multi tool
  • more food than you could carry in one trip
  • maps of the area and GPS
  • deluxe first aid kit
  • the right know-how to turn trees into a decent shelter
  • fishing and hunting items

I have no idea (city gyall) and I dont know if its ethical to just let you roam about in the wilderness, without an attempt to return safely (?)

But I wish you a lot of luck! Hopefully it will be an eye opening experience.

Aussie forests aren’t quite like the northern hemisphere counterparts and also, you can’t cut down trees in national parks here.

Define bare minimum.

What does your plan look like so far?
This is a forum for people with issues. seeing a post like that. isnt very positive. People are suffering. and to see. Your warden has everything but doesn't have the key doesn't exactly put someone with that problem into a sense of confidence. I thought this was a help site?

You have to help yourself in order for others to help you, but you don't want it. Good luck.

I think you need to take a little break. You are starting to misconstrue everything you read.

Just to clarify, you're commenting on my profile signature, which is lyrics from a song I like.

My actual post was simply asking for facts before I offer advice, which turned out I had none.

Unless you're already an above average level camper I'd strongly suggest not choosing to sleep in the woods, no. The fantasy is there- escape from the city with all of its nonsense, isolate away from what I perceive as a toxic society and culture. But I also don't like sleeping on the ground, I don't particularly like insects, I don't feel like being back on the food chain, and frankly I have allergies. I also acknowledge that I'm not some journeyman outdoors person that can survive over an extended time on my skills alone. You put me in the woods for two weeks and I'll reinvent myself as a brand new sufferer of dysentery, dehydration, and trenchfoot. Hard pass.
