hi guys.
I was wondering if anyone did any magic and if it worked.

for some reasong lately I ve been growing more and more curious...

I haven't (and personally wouldn't) get involved with 'magic' - however numerous ancient texts speak entirely of magic..such as the Eygptian Book Of The Dead. The entire book is about spells..bringing back the dead..changing from human forms into animal forms..etc. Ancient people practiced magic in their 'everyday' lives..and if you believe in the Bible..then there must be some truth connected here..because God expressly forbids divination... (just another word for it). In fact..the ancient nation of Israel often got into trouble with God for participating in these "pagan" rites.

When I was a kid (about 11ish) I made a voodoo doll of this chick named Dana who worked at the horse stables. I went all out, I made it out of sticks and straw and all natural hemp thread, and a piece of her hair. It was sort of a game for me and my friend, actually she had one too and I had another that I never officially dedicated to anyone. We never intended to hurt anyone, we just thought it sounded neat. We didn't think it would work, I mean, that's ridiculous. Anyway, I accidentally dropped the doll out of my pocket while I was in this pony's stall and he stepped on it. The doll's leg broke, and a few days later I heard that the same pony had kicked Dana in the leg and she'd broken her leg. It was even the same leg that was broken on the doll. It scared me and my friend so badly that we un-dedicated the doll and got rid of all of them. We even burned all the papers we'd taken notes on and written about the dolls. I haven't tried magic more than once or twice since, and never with any sort of success. And I swear on my life I didn't make that up, not any of it. Moral of the story; if any of you decide to make a voodoo doll, be careful with it.

I believe you..
Something really strange happened to me and my niece when we were playing around with the Ouija board..still don't like to talk about it.

If you mean real magic, not like magician's illusions and stuff, then no I've never done any real magic, but my friend who is a Wiccan she's really into all that. She sometimes talks about some of the things they do as Wiccans and it does involve doing magic and all kinds of rituals and things like that. She's tried to get me to go to one of those meetings, and some time I think I'll go just out of curiosity, but idk it's pretty far out there stuff. I remember one time we were going home from the beach when the car died and we had to wait for a tow truck, it got really cold because it was at night and in September, she said she would conjure up some heat charms or something like that... But anyway I did feel warmer after she had stood there with her eyes closed for a while and said okay that should do. So yea, that's about as far as I've delved into "real" magic. Arianna had a good point that with everything she said, so many other civilizations had a belief in magic maybe there's something to it?

wow, I would have never believed it works but this real voodoo doll thing with a broken leg..
what whold happen if the horse cruched the head of the doll...

I just looked at it. there is this hymn of innocents to the god and lord of justice and his other 42 gods or someth. Its basicaly nothing more than worshiping the devil , nothing new. Modern satanists probably translated it into more modern terms. Its so obvious its satanism.

You certainly could be right with that assumption. And yet the whole Egyptian civilization was based on it. The Book Of The Dead was not written for the benefit of the ordinary Egyptian man..it's primary purpose (used by temple priests)..was to bring back the souls of the dead Egyptian kings. Interestingly enough..they believed in the power of resurrection long before many (later) religions. As most of these spells were prayed aloud to evoke the spirit of the dead back to life. But the book was not translated by satanists..but by Egyptian archaeologists trained in ancient symbols of linguistics.

I don't even want to think about that. That's why we stopped, we got scared.

regular people don't possess any power to call the dead or contact the other world. Thats why Jesus prohibited to do so. Its only possible with power of God or satan. On earth people easily get in touch with satan and use his power, Egypt knew no Christianity there fore whatever gods they spoke to was satan. Its mostly 100% guarantied, pure and premium satanism in disguise, sorry. :)

Only if you're christian would you see it that way, which the egyptians were not. Neither am I, so I I'm sorry, but I don't agree with you. Christianity doesn't opperate on shades of grey, but the egiptian gods often were just that. They weren't all bad, neither were they all good. Many of them were mostly one or the other, but nothing like God or Satan. God is good, Satan is bad. Nothing else in the world is so concrete, not life nor death, or nature, science, and mathematics, to Christians, God is good and Satan is bad. The ancient egyptians came before all of that, they didn't think that way. I know that you think that way, and I understand that if you feel in your heart that the ancient egyptians where satanic then I have to right to argue with your beliefs.
The reason that I cannot believe they were all satanic is that their motives for evoking the spirits of the dead back to life weren't evil. They believed that their pharaohs were gods and because of this belief they felt they had to aid in the resurrection of their fallen pharaoh's spirit so he could go to the afterlife. I fail to see the evil in that. However, I can understand that while my spiritual beliefs are shades of grey, many see grey as basically black. If that's how you feel, I'm sure your beliefs will lead you down a much clearer path than mine. But I can't change what I believe, so I felt that I should express my feelings the same as you had. I've tried to say this all delicately, and I mean no offense by it. I understand that many people are offended by a person stating a conflicting opinion so I want to expressly state to anyone who reads this and doesn't agree with me, please don't attack me for my beliefs. I rarely share my spiritual feelings for this reason, so I hope you can respect me enough not to attack me for this.

Gosh, Qui, u are so sweet and nice...I feel like giving u a hug right now. for real. I'm not kidding. This is the first time that I read a post in which a person explains her beliefs like an intelligent human being.
There' s this other forum where people are scared to even open up a new thread in politics and religion forum because it turns into a harsh battle field, people catch an attitude to the point where others just get fed up and don't come back to that thread anymore...I mean from a religius topic that the tread was meant to disscuss they move to personal insults and stuff.

If that's how you feel, I'm sure your beliefs will lead you down a much clearer path than mine.
what do u mean here?

the reason why I see the powers of the world or whatever u call it as black and white is because of some real horrors that I experianced.
And now I can't deny the fact that contcting the spirits of the dead is dangerous because they have no proof that they are actually speaking with the soul of the pharaon. In most cases, if not all, its not.I don't want to freak anybody out here.
but good post though.thanks :)

If you approached the Egyptians with the idea of 'satan'..they would have disagreed.. in their world both good and evil came from the gods. They..(and the majority) of other ancient cultures attest to this same fact. As far as only God or Jesus having power..well..let's put it this way. Modern engineers and scientists admit that given the necessary materials..they could not reproduce the giant structures we call pyramids. Pyramids are a scientific miracle..they have withstood the test of thousands of years..alternate to geometric laws. Another words..they're impossible to duplicate..against all the fundamental laws of physics and geometry. Interestingly.. they were built aligned totally in sync with the Orion stars. And ..on many of these walls inside the pyramids are even more astounding discoveries.. for example a painting dipicting an airplane, submarine, etc..but I'll stop here. Not here to convince you eme..simply replying to your question about magic. Magic is the most ancient of all knowledge..beginning even way before the Egyptians.
