I concur, but tell that to the pharmaceutical companies. They'd laugh you out the door. They don't give 2 ***** about who is taking their meds. It's all about the cash.

EDIT: Non essential Medications like "Viagra" I believe warrant a high price tag.

but without some profits, how can companies research and produce new meds? i'm not being smart, i'm really curious if that could ever work. someone has to pay for those things right?

Good question. I'm probably way wrong, but I'm going to guess the Government pay so much.
