The media has not said it but the rise in cowardly assault's is because of all the small d*** ***holes out there who watch this MMA ****. A blood sport were the fighters are rewarded for beating men while their down.

It says in that article that they don't know what happened, so don't make assumptions that it was because of MMA. I also see no prove about the 3451 men suffering brain damage because of it. And why exactly would am AMERICAN law cause this in AUSTRALIA?

And BTW, I actually know a guy who fights locally in MMA/UFC fights and he's a damn good guy.

I hate to be the first to break it to you, but in street fights, no one cares if you're down.

Actually even in a street fight when someone is down it's usually over. If it's in public then for sure as soon as someone is down if you keep going everyone will stop you. At least that's what I've noticed here.

In MMA they don't even do that so I don't know where the OP is coming from. Fights are stopped once it's clearly over.

MMA is a blood sport, the whole idea of it is knocking the other fighter to the ground and then hitting him while he's down. In boxing when a fighter is knocked down the other fighter waits till he gets back up out respect for the other fighter and also for safety.
Their's nothing good about MMA it should be banned. In Melbourne, Australia MMA applied to host an event in Melbourne.
It was rejected because the city of Melbourne will not host any event associated with crime.

MMA shouldn't be banned. If people want to fight in a cage, let them do it. Don't like it? Don't participate. Last time I checked, no one was forced to be in UFC.

As far as them being cowards, only one MMA fighter comes to mind with that... Brock Lesnar.

Oh, and you're welcome, bro. As a country that believes in - or at least wants to believe in - the basic idea of freedom, the dudes here can decide to be a fighter. My cousin wanted to do the MMA thing, but he opted not to... Yeah, that's right. He choose not to do it. No one forces anyone to fight. Every dude who gets into any type of fighting - boxing included - knows there's SOME chance of being injured or damaged in some way.

Just because you don't agree with it, doesn't mean we should all raise our pitchforks at it.
