I really like them - especially the trees. I like tree photos! I like the first one - particularly from the point of view of turning it into an oil painting. Some photos are just much better as photos because they say everything that can be said as they are, but that one would work really well.
Actually I did a painting of trees and snow once that was a bit like that, compositionally speaking.
