Went up to London yesterday to buy some Manga for my sons present. Quite an achievement for me first time in years I've gone on my own ,could only go with my wife or son before because confused how to use the ticket machines yes nuts I know.
A bit lonely at times seeing the families and office lunch parties but I did enjoy wandering around with the tourists and eating my lunch by Trafalgar Square. HaHa just realised how boring I am , got to walk dog now and peel sprouts after.

A day out in London - doesn't sound boring at all! Neither does walking the dog. Now peeling sprouts, that's a chore no one wants...

I'm not feeling at all Christmassy this year. I have to keep reminding myself it's Christmas Eve today.
Yes, I know the feeling. The tree is up, the presents are wrapped, the house is decorated, baked up a storm, even snow! But that Christmasy feeling is somehow lacking. . . I think we just need to give ourselves a break and feel how we feel, without the expectations of how we think we should feel. Christmas is always a mixed bag for me - there’s a lot of negative memories associated with the holidays, missing people who are gone, the pressure of getting everything ‘just right’. Just keep smiling and remember to be kind to yourself. 😊💞

Oh dear. . .Not sure what the ‘oof’ was, but I hope nothing too bad. I had my own ‘oof’ today - dropped my $800 camera that I use for birding and smashed the lens. . .wahhhhhh!!! 😢🙁😢 Had a good cry about it, but what’s done is done. 🤷‍♀️

The "oof" was more of a personal topic...can't really say out loud for security reasons.

I'm sorry to hear about your camera though...that DOES sound painful.

I hope a replacement isn't too expensive.

PS - have you ever taken pictures of hawks? I'd love to see some sometime, but when I've tried they always get away from me. You can't sneak up on their superhuman vision.
