need help!!!

alright, so like, there is a bunch of snow on my roof! like a foot! and it's the heavy ****! i figure there's at least about 10,000 pounds of it up there. (random figure for dramatics, but still)

so i muster the courage to climb up there with my boots, hat, gloves, a shovel, and a broom.

anybody who owns a home, especially in a northern climate, knows that too much snow on the roof can cause problems. so like a foot of it being the heavy stuff is pushing it. none of my neighbor's have this problem because they have no insulation in their attics, but mine is very well insulated, so the snow doesn't melt from heat loss upward. damnit! i've got to shovel.

problem is: i get up there, and this **** isn't snow. it looks like snow, but it has the consistency of ice. so needless to say after about 30 minutes of backbreaking i labor i say F--- I- G-- F------ D-----! and climb down.

here is what i need help with.......

i need to know of a derogitory word that i can bitch about this stuff because it isn't quite snow but it isn't quite ice...

all i can come up with is Sn'Ice

I did that yesterday. Shoveled so hard and so long that today even my butt muscles hurt! WTF

Can't you just pour some rock salt on it, wait a while (try 40 mins?), and try removing it?
Lots of people here in snowy Norway use salt for melting ice and snow...

Funny, but PLEASE don't actually do this. Some people actually have tried and they discovered that even a wet, snow-covered deck/roof is pretty flammable :rolleyes2:

I think Sophia hit the nail on the head.

Go to the store and buy a couple cans of spray paint or air freshener...and a lighter. Flamethrower. 'Nuff said.

Shoveling alternative #2: bring out all the fans and position them on the driveway pointing skyward.

Shoveling alternative #3: flood my driveway with gasoline and light it on fire.
