I am an accomplished fuddydud. Someone just called me "Boomhauer" and I immediately thought of all the many trendy and popular things I've never:. I had to search the term..

Never seen a single episode of King of the Hill, Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Stranger Things, GOT...

Never owned, played, touched or even personally seen a Gameboy, Switch, XBOX, Play Boy..

Never owned or worn any clothing or shoe labeled Nike, Reebok, Adidas,

Never tasted or swallowed tequila,

Never been in a physical fight or hit another person

Never been inside a police station

I am a glamor boy descending..

You’re not that unusual - I haven’t done the majority of what you listed and I’ll be 50 in March. Guess it depends on how you perceive yourself - instead of ‘fuddyduddy’ I’d call you an individual. You’re clearly not into mainstream **** and popular trends, much like myself. In a world full of posers and wannabes (tune into any crap reality show for proof of this), being a unique individual is a good thing.

I think I've done all those things, except being inside a police station.

It didn't radically change my life though. Also I can barely stomach tequila...it's harsh. If I vomit from drinking, tequila has usually been involved.

It kind of has me thinking back though, that in addition to not being good at anything or not sharing the cold, aloof attitudes of my peers, another way that I was different was that I didn't consume the same media, so I wasn't "with it" in terms of cultural references. But then again I was into what I was into, and I've never been one to get into things, just because everyone else is into it. I think it's better to consciously pick your own tastes, and if it happens to be the same as the majority that's fine, and if not that's fine too.

I've been in many police stations. (I've never been arrested though) Not sure why you would want to be in one.

Go to your closest mall and find a game store. Look at the console systems and check out the games and if you like a few games for that system get the games and the system. Bring it home and start playing. Problem solved.

Again go to your closest mall and find the shoe store and check out the Nike shoes and Reebok and Adidas. They can be pricey but if you like one of them, buy it and then bring it home. Problem solved.

I have never had tequila either but I don't drink and I know I'm not missing but if you want to try tequila go to a bar and try one and I'm not talking about a sports bar. Find a biker bar and then have three or four tequila's. After you finish them off you might be ready for a fight and if you fight there's a chance that you will get pounded or get arrested and if you get arrested you will be taken inside a police station. Problem solved.

The word "bad" is nowhere tob e found in my post. Was only noting I do not follow the pack, or trending culture.

I have Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Curiousity stream. None of the shows I listed appeal to me. The only games of that sort I play are word/vocabulary games. Not interested in LARP type games, especially games depicting the taking of life, physical violence etc. I have been wearing exclusively Saucony running shoes for forty years. don't own Nything else. No dress or work shoes. Not stupid enough to go to a biker bar or any other bar to get drunk. I am not into escapism..
