What are people's plans for the festive period. Are you a Christmas crazy person, or not bothered. Do you involve family, or hide from them.
Me, I will be alone, just me and the dog. This is how I like it, and as I have done for quite some time, even before the onset of loneliness. The festivities have never appealed to me, not since an infant. Although, I do quite like to watch the Queen's speech. Same for Groundhog Day, if that's on tv too.
Oddly, it does not feel particularly like Christmas. Perhaps due to avoiding people, I have not endured the insufferable enthusiasm. Similarly, not watching terrestrial television has saved me from nauseating adverts and seasonal shows. With similar results avoiding stores.
One of my better Christmases was maybe 4 years ago. The dog and I, climbed Mt. Snowdon, and completed a 16 mile loop. Aside from the breathtakingly beautiful sights and freakish dangers, it was a wonderful distraction from life, Christmas, and the world at large.
So, what of you lovely folks
