So most of the news is focused on the negative, but I thought I'd start a thread where we share positive articles. I don't know about you guys, but these type of things cheer me up by making me realize there are good people out there and that the world is a nice place:

To me positive news articles are unbalanced since the negative is rather severe and constant. I find it almost patronizing and frustrating when news programs finish with a minor positive story after so much bad news.

I agree, which is why I don't tune in to the news much. I'm sure we're not in the minority about this.
