And this could end up being one of them.

I'm trying hard not to be specific but damn, it's tough. It's interesting how people have such an acute case of verbal diarrhea that their thread will virtually mimic one made the day before. I guess it's human nature though- most of us would rather be heard than hear (and discuss).

I'm pretty sure THIS topic hasn't been mentioned in the last 5 minutes.

I'm also pretty sure as to who will "question" my attitude/statements.

I get the feeling that one of the purposes this site serves is as an outlet for people to vent. I know I have been guilty of this from time to time.

Also, this site seems to have quite a turn over rate. Many will sign up, hang around for a week or so, and then are never heard from again.

From time to time you'll also see a plethora of necroposted threads, likely from people replying to the "possibly related threads" section below each thread which doesn't really have a date limit.

My point for that is that I also suspect that a lot of people who post here and are new, are also in general unfamiliar with internet forums and how they work with respect to searching for and listing existing / recent topics. Which could also explain duplicate threads.

k.....here some mother fucken excitment for you...

Thanks LC, always happy to have you liven things up a bit. A thread w/o your input isn't worth reading. :D

P.S.- the pics are awesome, how about a couple of you so the girls have some eye-candy as well?

Peace bro.

Not all threads have to be of great importance. Some are just goofing around.

As far as similar threads maybe some are afraid that a couple people will call them necroposters if they use one of the half dozen threads that already exist on the same topic, so they create it again or maybe they are unfamiliar with the search feature.

You a Scorpions fan, LonesomeCrow?

I have the "Box Of Scorpions" boxset, and "Virgin Killer." Those are the only two albums I have...but they're awesome.

At one point, I had "Fly To The Rainbow", which was epic. I lost it, though.

What better place for a thread like this than on a site where people already have anxieties as it is.

Let's add to that.

My morning scolding?

:p

Probably people want to get a personal responce to feel like someone has heard them.

LOL

Nah just my personal feeling. No scolding unless you start naming fingers and point names.

Something else that was mentioned to me, conserning people using the search function to find threads. You get the odd person who will (possibly in fun) scream necroposter. That tends to scare people off from reviving old threads having them create a new one. Then someone posts linking back to that old thread. It's kind of a no win situation when a person wants to talk about something that is on their mind.

The joy of forums.

So (out of interest) what's considered dead wood then "necroposting" and what is considered responsibly checking to see if a thread already exists. Why do people get offended if an old post gets brought up anyway? There are worse crimes against humanity surely.

Poguesy agrees but then he thought he doesn't agree, only to later agree to this statement.

Then he thought i'm talking a load of **** :D

I have no idea. It's better to revive an old thread instead of making a new one as long as it's relative though. I mean, some people revive an old thread responding to someone who hasn't been on a site in years. There's no point. Now reviving an old thread to talk about the issue's presented because they apply to you is different, where you basically take it over. There are some forums I'm on where they have a rule that as long as a thread hasn't been posted in, in the last couple of years, you can make a new one without it being closed/merged. A lot of sites have such a huge turn over of new members every few years as it is, that a thread that is more than 2 years old is considered dead and done.
