So we pulled out the slide setup we had and flipped the rails so they are on their side (like they are actually supposed to be) and we've cut to size a couple of laminated panels to form walls that will hold pull out drawers to store our cooking things in. We just put them in to check the fit and mark the bolt holes, then drilled the holes and will vanish them tomorrow.

Added access to under the platform for storing smaller things. Simple but effective.

Cheers. I’ve always been a traveler and a project like this makes camping more enjoyable.

Both access “lids” done and a fire extinguisher secured in an available space that the planned drawer won’t interfere with.

Installed a better support leg for the pullout bench.

Added a missing upright welded to the rear of the rack.

We had an issue occur where things were thrown out of square, but with some effort we’ve managed to sort all that out and used some bracing to prevent it occurring again. So the drawers are all sorted now and both lids have hinges and stays. Will varnish the drawer fronts tomorrow.

Hmm, the lid stays are really crap quality. Won't stay (lol) in place. Have to come up with another idea to keep them open.

I made the stays simpler. A prop held by magnet when not in use.
