Yes, I know it's way early to even think of Cupid and his little arrows of Love. Don't panic, this is just for informative purposes.

I just wanted to do a quick poll to see if there would be any interest in hosting a Valentine's Card Exchange, similar to what we did for Christmas. Please tick the appropriate selection and feel free to leave any comments or suggestions.

If we get enough tentative participants, we could do a little card swap, when the time comes.

I don't do the card exchange because I prefer not to give out my personal information, but I think it's a great idea. =] So many people here are lonely on Valentine's Day.

I don't think it's too early to think about Valentine's day because the Valentine's candy and cards will be out in the stores the week after Christmas - in a few weeks! :D
I think a card exchange is a great idea, although not sure if I'll participate. I feel like I will have a lot of things on my mind after this coming new year and won't be really into it. But still, a great idea!

I don't celebrate Valentines Day,but I wonder what one wishes to another one on Valentines that isn't his/her lover?

I always wondered about that too, Magalie, but it appears to be different in the US. My wife and her family seemed to send Valentine cards to other family members in the same way you'd send a Christmas card. I still don't get it...

Having said that, it's a bit of harmless fun, so I can't see any problem with it even though I would not personally be interested in participating.

Yeah, a lot of people view it as a day to express love of any kind, not just romantic love; so they'll send cards and gifts to family and friends as well.

When I was in grade school we'd have a Valentine's Day celebration, and we were more or less required to give valentines to all our classmates (it was a small school, so only about 20 kids or less in each grade); and I definitely wasn't in love with them, lol.

Bumping this thread, 'cause I know it can take cards a long while to reach some destinations.
