I've tried this made up diet of mine , I would eat tons of carb in the morning(a large bowl of steel rolled oat meal , milk , fruit nuts and honey and a couple of hard boiled egg white) followed by 4-5 carb free high protein low/med good fat meals for the rest of the day , I added 30 minutes of cardio and 1 hour of weight lifting and my body fat went from 13-15% to around 7-8% in 6 weeks while adding lean muscle but then I quit due to exams and I gained some of it back :( , if anyone is down for starting a body transformation thingy in here let me know :D

You're probably right.
Sounds so much like the Kaizen program that I bought.
Dr. Robert Maurer says that we "trick" our brains by making
tiny changes, and our brains don't freak out and think it's
the end of the world or something (like when we try to make huge changes all at once).

Sort of the opposite of our typical New Year's resolution.

I also want to loss weight and following some tips which I read from web and I want to share here. So that tips are:
1) Do exercise daily and do not eat for 1 hour after it
2) Eat healthy diet and concentrate on green vegetables and raw salad.
3) Increase in take of fruit and avoid saturated fruit drinks.
4) Drink more water as possible as in day time.
5) Concentrate in walking, cycling.

Heheheh, this is a spammer's thread, and I'm probably not a good person to get advice from... But I'll post anyway.

The weight I did lose in a healthy way:
Eating mostly raw foods - After you cook most foods over 104 degrees F (40C), they lose a lot of their nutritional value.
Drinking lots of water - sometimes the body confuses hunger with dehydration.
Avoid processed/fried foods
Avoid processed sugars - Sucralose, aspartame, and anything with fructose/high fructose corn syrup
Smaller portions and eating more often (6x a day) - It's easier on the body to digest small meals at a time, and keeps your metabolism going without overworking it.
Lemon juice - Drinking raw lemon juice (2 squeezed lemons) daily will help your body digest foods, absorbs sugar, and works with the acids in your stomach. Also good for acne :) You can dilute it with water to help spare the enamel on your teeth.
Lemon (or citrus) peels - This one is harder... But, I've read that the pectin also helps with sugar absorption. It's gross, but results speak for themselves.
Apple Cider Vinegar (Mother) - Also gross, but aids in weight loss/curbing acid reflux/etc.
Exercising at least 3x a week
Protein shakes are also good for curbing appetite, while still getting the essential energy your body needs. You can mix with coffee/smoothies/etc. Makes for a good snack.

Educating yourself about caloric intake and how to read nutrition labels will save you. Especially paying attention to serving size information -- you really don't realize how much is in the stuff you're eating until you look.

Honestly, it looks more intimidating than it really is. But if you make subtle changes one step at a time, it gets easier and easier.

Hi All,
For me the key to lose weight is regular exercise with diet meals and motivation.
Exercise and diet helps you in losing weight and motivation keeps you consistent.

Honestly, the only excuse a person has for not losing weight is if said person has a thyroid problem.

Everyone who loses weight and keeps it off deserves a huge round of applause.

Isn't that a little bit contradictory? First you say there's no excuse for not losing weight (read: it's an easy thing to do), then you say that those who manage it should be applauded (read: it's a hard thing to do). Which one is it? :p

I say the only excuse a person has for not losing weight is if said person has a thyroid problem. Or other physical problems that makes excercise and/or dieting difficult. Or mental problems that makes exercise and/or dieting difficult. Oh, what am I saying? There are SEVERAL excuses a person might have for not losing weight.

E.g. there are people that, through various periods of time, can hardly manage to leave the house, tidy the house, cook a meal, go to work - anything of what most people consider simple, normal, everyday tasks. How, then, are they supposed to do something that is actually HARD as well?

Honestly, there's no excuse for being an arrogant ass about the difficulties of weight loss. Not everyone has that extra mental and/or physical energy and stamina that is required. Different things works for different people. Some might take a little longer before finding what works for them. Some might never find it. If it was as easy as "just do it", it wouldn't be such a big issue, and various scam companies would be making a fortune on ******** "diet pills" and equipment. There are soooo many reasons involved other than "just being lazy". Don't be too judgmental.

I am trying to offer support and applause for people trying to make their life better. I am sorry if I offended you or anyone else; I may have worded it incorrectly. But honestly, it is not impossible and people should do their best to lose it.

you must give some times to your health like 1 hour daily for exercise or running or any activities that burns your extra calories. If you cant do that then you must take dieting piles.

I am trying to put on weight its bloody hard. I am eating when I dont want to and back on the weights. For me losing weight comes naturally from being too busy to eat and getting by on smokes and coffee!

Losing weight is not an easy task but it requires lots of hard work and regularity. I want to share some tips that I am following for my weight loss since last 7 month and I have noticed dramatic change. Here are type tips that help me making me fit and strong.
1. I do running and cycling early in the morning, everyday
2. In break fast I eat only fruits or fruits juice.
3. I eat less in lunch
4. After dinner I take a walk of 1 hr.

genetics play a huge roll in how bodies manage extra calories.

some bodies store everything in reserves for hard times - useful in the past.
other bodies burn off everything, even increasing metabolism to burn off increase in consumption... by building muscle mass.

regardless of the genes inherited, we should realize that its easier to accept our natural body than it is to change it. Genetics will adapt eventually.

Every trainer I've talked to suggests some protein within 30 minutes of anything that has to do with weight training to help stimulate the muscle repair. I always stop by Chick Fil A and get a grilled chicken filet (no bread).
