I checked this book out on a whim... and to my surprise, I'm really enjoying it. The novel feels a lot like vintage Stephen King.

This author actually has a Youtube channel, which I found first. He's a terrific storyteller on there, and then I found out he's also written some novels. This is the first of his that I'm reading, and it's really good so far. He's every bit as talented at writing as at telling stories verbally.
