Mowing's gonna be fun. It's hot here too
You should have done it Saturday! lol But seriously, do it early early morning or as late as possible in the evening.

Also I'd recommend doing it after the UV and brightness calms down. For me it's usually around 4PM or so.
I use AccuWeather, it tells you about things like UV and air quality.
Don't forget to wear shades and put on sunscreen, eye and skin health is no joke. I use them when I do yardwork all the time.

4? Um, no. I was thinking like 7 or 8 when the sun starts to go down....depending on the size of your lawn. (Takes me about 1.5 hours to mow mine) Wait as long as possible to get it in before it gets dark. Or wake up early to get it done before it gets overbearingly hot.

Or....just leave it until it's cooler. lol But I live out in the country, so I can do that. People in towns can't always because of "laws."

I use an electric mower with a cord, so I have to wait until there is no dew on the grass.

Also, I don't want to risk chopping up lightning bugs, so I try to avoid doing it too close to when they come out.

But those are my reasons, others might have different circumstances.
And living in a town, I have to keep it cut because of the "laws", as well.
Luckily in this case, I don't have nearly as big of a lawn to manage, so that changes the situation too.

Although, I must say I do like big lawns.

When the day starts at nearly 80, there's no chance of dew. Lol

You are aware that lightning bugs rest on the ground during the day, right? So you have more chances of hitting them during the day than at night.

No, I was not aware of that. That's good to keep in mind. I'll have to look up when the best time of day to cut the grass is, to avoid them.

That does it...moving the fleet downstairs til this stupid heat wave is over...not really how I wanted to spend my day, but better that than finding that all my stuff got ruined 😠

It's not even proper summer yet either. That means we're going to be in for even more "fun" in the months ahead. Great.
