what makes you "lonely"

People don't fear me, but I fear people. This is why I don't make friends easily.

It's not that people don't want to be my friend. They do - I just struggle with every interaction. If I could learn to "not care so much", maybe I would get somewhere...but then, I wouldn't have social anxiety!

It also makes me lonely, because I am an introvert by nature, and I do like my alone time...a lot. This doesn't bide well with others, who are party people and are always getting together at bars and clubs. My idea of a fun time is me, with my computer, music, and a cup of coffee, posting on an internet forum or Facebooking.

Having no human beings around makes me panic, but hanging out with people who don't care for me makes me feel lonely
