'Companion', as of yesterday. Really good film and I'm a total genre-head, so this ticked off all the boxes for me.

If you've not seen the trailers (ESPECIALLY the recent trailers that damn near give everything away?!), then go in knowing as little as possible. I wish I'd not known the main twist (well, one of them), as that would have made it even MORE enjoyable. But even if you do know it? There's more to it, so go see it regardless.

P.S. If there happen to be any 40/40+ Sophie Thatcher lookalikes out there who happen to be single, hit me up please *wrings hands*:p

Seemed to be some sort of Australian made documentary about the native wild life that Oki hangs out with.

I saw Gladiator 2. It was...not great. The first really made you care about the protagonist, but the second felt rushed.

I also saw the second Independence Day movie. I know it's old now, but honeslty I enjoyed it. Watched it with my neighbor who wanted to see it.

Oh no. I'll probably still end up seeing Gladiator 2 anyway (I saw Independence Day 2 already, I think), but I guess it's always hard for movies to live up to the original.

I actually got a lump in my throat and my eye welled a little.

A Man Called Otto is a 2022 American comedy-drama film directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by David Magee. It is a remake of the 2015 Swedish film A Man Called Ove, which was based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Fredrik Backman. The film stars Tom Hanks and his son Truman in the title role, with Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in supporting roles. The plot follows a bitter old man who reluctantly gets involved in the lives of his neighbors.

Not bad at all. Some ridiculous moments. Some funny moments. I've enjoyed Radcliffe's films.

Guns Akimbo is a 2019 action comedy film written and directed by Jason Lei Howden. It stars Daniel Radcliffe, Samara Weaving, Ned Dennehy, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Grant Bowler, Edwin Wright, Rhys Darby, Milo Cawthorne, Richard Knowles, and Mark Rowley.

The premise of the film is that an underground fight club gets popular due to live-streaming fights to the death. A computer programmer criticizes the spectacle, and is then forced to become one of its contestants.

Watched that one after watching the original.

Last I watched was ...

Magic Trip: Ken Kesey's Search for a Kool Place

I thought the Tom Wolfe book, "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" was a much more entertaining telling of the story.

It was rather creepy.

And funny too because I live across the street from a Mormon Church, and after many years they just started sending female missionaries.
Before that it was only males.
They always ask me if I want to go to church on Sunday.
