I had a peek at the lists of most common first names and most popular baby names in recent times: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most_popular_given_names#Europe

Of particular note is the popularity of "Liam" and "Jack" in several European countries, including non-English-speaking ones. "Liam" is also an extremely popular name here in Canada, and the second most popular among Caucasians in the United States.
