I want to have everything in life and often end up being disappointed of not being able to control everything.

An excerpt from an article I just read, and I think is spot on on my case.

To give a few examples – the common case of the rich having poor health, addiction problems, relationship issues, or children to not be proud with. Rich kids will probably end up in trouble or spending all the money.

The good-looking, healthy person, who has never faced a job too hard, and has earned every penny with bare hands – will probably never be able to appreciate a complete lifestyle, build a family, or have a healthy bank account. But if all the work brings financial benefit – it'd be a time-consuming job, one that requires firm commitment, so this leaves the family some way behind.

Even if you are not supposed to work, your husband takes care of everything, but is he missing too often? On a business trip, or unable to pick up the phone because on a meeting? He's probably missed his little one's first precious moments. It's as sad for you as it's. for him

You cannot have it all. I work in a place where I see many many many "have it all" people doing something wrong because of the pressure to try to have it all. The seedy underside of this world is simply that you can't have it all. don't try.

I don't want it all, I want all that I need..

I'm not very demanding and things like "fame" and "great wealth" that some people would die or kill for I consider as a nightmare.

We may not have it all, but that's what keeps us moving forward and challenging ourselves. Instead of less control, think of it more as an opportunity for challenge and reward.
