I’ve really been looking into himmmm, he started off soo appealing and gripping and now i just dont understand his message as well as I used to…Jordan Peterson has been losing his **** lately, in my appraisal.
I'm not a fan of his. He's probably over 100 times more well read than me; but, I sort of get what he's about, but, I just don't jive with it.
His eyebrows are nearly permanently furrowed, and his constant sense of urgency is just tiring...
I think he's right about a decent number of things; but, beyond that, he doesn't move me in anyway. He's a bit off putting more than anything, to me.
I don't think anything of his, I've ever watched, imbued me with any new information, knowledge, or wisdom; with the one exception, that, I may be out of luck, as far my position in life goes. He reminds me, that, as a male, living in the world with a desire to mate, partner, and perhaps procreate, that my ship has probably already sailed. So, why be so bothered by it? Not that I don't have the dream of having a life partner, or anything. I'm just not too inclined to be bothered with that stuff at the moment.
I can see why young men, or relatively young men, may find his message attractive though. I think he's sort of the hero of the, 'family man to be,' who is, 'down on his luck.' I think his constant message is the, "Call to Action," for Joseph Campbell's prospective hero. And I think he wants to defend and keep alive the, 'call to action,' because he feels there may be a world where it doesn't exist anymore, and where it's currently very threatened.
However, I just don't see the urgency. I don't think much of anything sacred HAS survived the past 50 years, or so, and I don't see him helping matters much. But, for a lot of people, he moves people very deeply, I suppose; and, I think that's fine. I'm not sure his politics and economics pan out though... Humanity has to move beyond the internal combustion engine at SOME point. Though, I'd say he's probably right that, NOW, is certainly not going to be that time. We just aren't there technologically; but, that's self evident. If we as a species could live and work differently, we could survive on renewable energy alone; but, no one is going to cooperate to do that...
He's a strange dude... He can be informative and insightful; but, I can think for myself...
