Heey guys and galls!

So i was just talking with a friend of mine about writing stories, and i mentioned that i had a story in my head for about four years. I never told anyone that, simply because the need never arose.

Anyway, i never really got to write it down, just didn't know where to start, and didn't think it'd be any good anyway. Said friend asked for a synopsis, and then said i could make a whole franchise out of it and all. Showed the synopsis to my girlfriend, who told me i had to write it down ASAP.

So now i'm actually considering it, people who got to read some diary entries of mine in the past told me i had a very nice writing style and all, but i was a bit like "meh."

So i'm posting the same summary here and asking what you guys think? And please, be honest, as bluntly as you want! :D

Yeah it's just a vague scrabble. :p

Basicly it's a world with two kind of god-like deities, angels and dragons. There are humans and "elves," though the elves are alot different. Elves don't reproduce the humanoid way, a couple of elves pray and offer to one of the angels, who will grant them an elven child, how it looks depends completely on the purpose of the elf. For example, it can be made by branches and trees, it can be made purely from flames, etc etc. The humans are afraid of the elves, and, since they reproduce much faster, cast them out. The humans are led by a vampire family, there are three ancient vampire families in total. The humans do not believe vampires exist, which is something the vampire family that rules said humans spread amongst them, the main character is an elf who is spawned from an elven mother, and a human father. The main character is a wanderer/hunter, and has a bow attached to her arms. The mother of the main character got killed when the humans found out about the "treachery" of the father. They are fleeing since then, living from what nature can offer them.

This friend of yours sounds like a swell guy.
Like totally awesome and dashingly handsome.
You should give him a trip to Japan with his girlfriend or something, like 2 months.
Also, massages!

I love you.

I think Elvis would be better than Elves.

Just write it, dude!

I started writing lately too, just as a bit of fun and a way to kill time mainly, but I have really been enjoying.

*gasp*
It would be a hit if that story is adapted into a movie.

I am in love with the synopsis. You totally need, must, have to finish writing this. :)

I confirm your synopsis is a good start

I look forward to read the story

I like the various factions, and that even in each one there are divisions. You'll have to let us know when you have a first draft!

People have said the same about me, Rosebolt. Namely, all of my tutors in college would not shut up about how much they orgasm'd over reading my work, one in particular always said he was looking forward to it...I guess it's because I was the only person who actually did the work from scratch and poured any personality into it, as opposed to just rewriting passages out of books and stuff.

I've written a few stories in the past, actually. Short ones, etc. I was rocking an A* in English in school but due to problems (namely attendance) I got dropped to a Foundation tier group where the highest grade you could achieve was C, in a class where people were getting E's and feeling proud. It sucked man. The tutor was even sad about the fact my work was A* quality and I actually understood what she taught, but I couldn't be awarded anything higher than a C when I sat my exams. ******* stupid GCSE system.

Anyway, I lost most of my resources (but not the stories, for some stupid reason) when my hard-drive failed a while back, but I can tell you, if you are prone to lying awake or day-dreaming about things from time to time, to make notes about it. Countless times I'll not be in the mood to write any books, but I'll think of a plot point, a certain twist in a story, an addendum to a chapter and so on, even to stories that hadn't been written, then I'd write them down in a notepad on the PC and when I was out of inspiration consult said notepad, and find some potential creations previously unexplored.

Lately I've been working on a story about gargoyles and humans, namely a war between them, leaving one alive etc. He's so depressed he just turns himself into his solid form and stays that way..etc. Gets dug up in the future when humans have largely forgotten the war etc...so on, so forth. I never said my ideas weren't cheesy :D

I dislike fan fiction though. It's always best to work from your own mind, or you don't work out, you simply flex your brain.

Chess term which makes no sense but is useful in context; watch out:

"You only get more experienced at chess, by playing a more experienced opponent."

Anyway, good luck to you man. The synopsis seems pretty solid, except for my general dislike (not being a hipster here) how mainstream vampires have become, like zombies and such. I do like semi-fantasy settings though, so naturally the elves and gods are an instant hit. Good luck with ripping those ideas out of your head and having them run all over your paper, man. :D
