It's not gonna get any easier mate. In China, some view Donald Trump as a "nation builder" (建设者, Jiànshè zhě) due to his policies that inadvertently benefited China. His trade war with China, aimed at reducing the U.S. deficit, made Chinese goods more competitive by increasing tariffs on U.S. products. Trump's "America First" approach also led to a global leadership vacuum, which China filled, strengthening its position. Additionally, his deregulation policies and focus on domestic issues allowed Chinese companies to thrive, while some U.S. businesses increased investment in China. In these ways, Trump's actions inadvertently boosted China’s economy and global influence.
I don't know man. I think I'm going to try to tune out the next 4 years as much as possible, and hope that sense comes back someday.
I know I've said this a ton but I miss the '90s all the time - when the only news I paid attention to, was what new Star Wars figures were being released.
