Thanks for the Bukowski recs!
House of Leaves was really incredible and I loved it even though the writing was not my usual style. It was really....masculine. It was dark and artsy and hypnotizing, with lots of sex and alone-ness.
I like dreamy postrock as well! I'll check those out. I made a college radio show last year based on this:
lemongrass
prefuse 73
sigur ros

people who wear white lab coats in sparkling candy factories mixing sugar and acids around till they've created the best strawberry flavored lollipop. It's the willy wonka-est job :)
What are some good one by Bukowski?
I'm reading "Demian" by Hermann Hesse.
The last book I was 100% in love with was "House of Leaves" by Mark Danielewski.
Devan: i dunno, there's something attractive about a guy who isn't responsive to every girl who walks by. It's mysterious and implies that he has a life and interests other than sex.

lounging around in t shirt and underwear, snacking on food that we made for each other, cuddling, wine, peering at the sky and listening to beautiful music.
Ah! This is so interesting. I've literally been stuck to the computer for 20 min thinking about this saga.
So what happened?? You're undoubtedly a sweet guy. I wouldn't wake up for anything at 6:30.
Have you found it any easier to meet people in college? I was so antisocial in high school...
I don't know if I believe in it, only bc it's never happened to me before :(
It could be cool, but really inconvenient. Like, what if you fall absolutely in love with someone you see walking on the street? Do you run after them like a crazy person?
omg, I thought I was the only one.
I hate talking on the phone! I only answer it when absolutely necessary (like for jobs and stuff) and the whole time while I'm talking, I'm nervously thinking "this will go on forever". I'm also afraid of my voicemail and don't have a myspace/facebook so I'm...
