I'm risking sounding like an idiot here but it wouldn't be the first time. If members say that they don't care about their rep total, then why is the "Negative Rep" function disabled? If nobody truly cared why is it deactivated?

It's disabled to prevent abuse.

It sounds kind of nasty to give someone bad reputation... In a site like this it would be like adding insult to injury.

This is also part of the reason why it isn't allowed.

Negative reps were disabled because of me and Skorian.

I believe it.

I don't bother concerning myself with rep points, although it would be nice to get one every once in a while to make me feel special! Right now, I don't even know how many I have. I am me...period. If I get a point or not, it will be because someone likes something I posted or I helped someone out, and that is strictly up to that person. I can't force someone to give me a point. And, that's the end of this story! :)

If I maintain this rate I'll be ( 52 x 8 )...over 400 after one year...surely one of the highest reps. here! Wow!
