From someone who has suffered from Anxiety (Panic) Attacks since 1982, I found this video very informing and on the money.

I wish I could have seen this years ago, before I went to the Emergency Room about 40 times thinking I was having a heart attack and it was an anxiety attack!

Here's a six part documentary about social anxiety. It's literally the exact opposite of confidence. That sort of thing really hits hard in the dating scene. But it's also treatable. So if anxiety is getting in the way of your life please speak with a professional. Psychotherapy is probably a good start since they generally don't dismiss you and prescribe medication right away.
