I’m not sure if people in this thread are confusing addiction with just a high liking for something. Addictions are destructive and require some deliberate action to quit. No?
I agree. I think a lot of words are extremely misused in today's society. A lot of things seems more like obsession, which is very different from addiction.I’m not sure if people in this thread are confusing addiction with just a high liking for something. Yes like the phrase addicted to sex..why not they like alot of sex .I agree. I think a lot of words are extremely misused in today's society. A lot of things seems more like obsession, which is very different from addiction.
Funny, I was actually going to compare to the book sex love or infatuation. LolYes like the phrase addicted to sex..why not they like alot of sex .
Example: My sister is an active addict & alcoholic to a few different things. I enjoy a glass of wine a few days out of the week. A friend regularly asks me if I'm drinking and if I'm going to become addicted. It gets annoying because I'm not my sister and never will be. Just because he doesn't drink doesn't mean I don't enjoy a glass or two, which doesn't make me addicted. I just enjoy a nice glass of wine here & there, but others think otherwise.Yes like the phrase addicted to sex..why not they like alot of sex .
Can I just clarify after my first post I'm not addicted...opps.. to stealing from my family. It's sort of a running joke.I buy most of it anyway .Like I used to finish bottles of wine off if we were sharing one or if she had friends over which she wanted saved for another day.The chocolate with my grandaughter I'm always buying it for her i just get tempted if she leaves it too long.Anyway it gives her teeth a chance if I help her out occasionally with her chocolate stock.
I'm not an evil grandad. And I replace alot of the coffee I just am add...very partial to it![]()
Yes I agree.Anyone can really become addicted to anything. It's best to have a healthy balance with everything in life.
