Could only guess what any of that stuff would cost here (romania/estern europe) coz i never buy anything like that. i think i saw a mars 4 pack at around 2.50$. Maybe the prices are about the same, although the salaries are much lower, avarages at about 300- 400$ per month. oh and gas prices are TWICE as much here than in the Us

ts not a SIN to eat a bucket of ice cream in Ca yet.
Its a SIN to , drink alcohol, smoke and drive..( Sin tax )

Im a mother fucken Sinner :)

What we need to do is abolish the concept of money altogether, bring back the barter system.

Life form on this planet has a self cleaning mechanism
Such like a woman's vagina....its built in to us.

We are mamals. Were natrual born killers and preditors.

$3.29 (sometimes it's on sale for $2.50 :p ) Haters may begin hating now
Holy ****.

I was in the grocery store yesterday to pick up a few things, decided to buy a bag of chips. Name brand nacho chips 3.99, generic no name brand 1.99, there's actually more nacho cheese on the chips in the no name brand I bought then there are in the brand name and the same size bag.

Yep. I find quite often that generic products are superior to name brand. I once heard that generic cola is made by the actual "Coca Cola" company itself.

LK, a lot of companies pay for others to bag their product in a generic name. A lot of the stuff is actually the same thing with two different names.

Nilla, me has chewy ones at my house. We should have a junk food picnic!

YES! Totally. We can nom nom nom cookies all day. :D

And Sterling, I live in probably the lowest cost of living state, and it's still kind of expensive here. Kinda strikes me as funny when people end up spending more in groceries than they do on their house note.

I would agree that for the most part the generic is just as good if not better than the name brand, however, there are some products that just don't compare and are worth the extra cost....

For example,
THESE
Nature_Valley_Sweet_Salty_Nut_Granola_Bars.jpg

are MUCH BETTER than these...

But then again, walmart products typically suck ass, so....

@Vanilla. I thought so, but wasn't a 100% sure.:)

That system would be cool for video games.

I'm a big fan of graham crackers. Wal-Mart's brand aren't too bad. As for the bulk of the other products, I couldn't agree more. I once bought a tub of their "Gummy Worms"
for $3 which tasted horrendous. I had to add sugar to the bastards to get any sweetness at all. Thank God for Ganong candy.

Holy crap I totally forgot about how expensive crap is in Canada. $2 for a beer and you have to go to a liquor store (not in Quebec though), with ****** hours of operating. And bars and stuff close at 2-3am. Eating out is $5-20 depending on where you go. Beer at a bar is $6. Compared with central and Eastern Europe, cut the Canadian price in half, usually more. Except meat, which seems to be a similar or more expensive price

Bars would be expensive. They're in it to make money. Grocery stores usually have that motto that they want their customers to save.

It's prices like these that drive alcoholics to buy and drink mouthwash. I know it sounds humorous, but it's true. I drank my fair share.

Some of the cheaper stuff tastes better sometimes
What I would do is replace all that famous brand **** with other snack-like foods, some unkown brands taste great
You can deep fry potatoes and make your own chips, taste better too
You can get a watermelon, keep it in the fridge, and get a slice every once in a while
You can eat fruits as sncaks
Get stove popcorn instead of the microwave one and add butter yourself

You make some strong points beautifulsorrow. When you say "Chips" are you referring to actual potato chips or french fries?

I have bad experiences with fruit, with the exception of apples all the stuff I buy tends to go bad before I get a chance to eat it.

Probably why I eat a lot of apples...

You can make both
I've made decent crunchy potato chips by leaving them in the deep fryer for longer, but you need to experiment with it I think, just cut out small circular or french fry perices and leave them in for longer
There is a webpage (http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Your-Own-Crunchy-Potato-Chips) that says you to get em crispy you cook them normally first then you take them out, wait for the oil to get hot again, then you put them back in
