Online I like to play games with people— I like to do a bit of trolling you know— but it's pretty playful. Making bizarre claims as if I really believe them, arguing against people I basically agree with because I don't like their attitude, making oblique jokes that I know will only confuse people...

I try not to be mean to people. I don't really have time for people who say nasty stuff for the sake of it, without any kind of wit or humour. That's kiddie behaviour.

What if by my rendering your playful banter is without humor and cohesion. To me are you not the same as those others are to you?

Unfortunately for human society I have, through a life-long process of experience, learning & introspection, come quite confidently to the conclusion that I am  funny and that your failure to comply with my jokes is evidence of your own low intelligence, rather than a reflection of my own (impeccable) qualities.

That sounds narcissistic to me, but however you get by.

I mean, I am far from a sensitive flower, I love a bit of banter and a laugh,
I am the first person to pull a bit of fun online, but I always make sure it's with people that appreciate it,
(Well aside from Ardour, he has to put up with it because I cant help it with him lol). But in all seriousness,
Have you guys found people have no manners on the internet, or they want to hurt your feelings because well, why not?
Typically, it's usually people who would/could never speak to me IRL. It may sound bad, but I am sure they even consider themselves below me...
So my brother posted a picture of us together and some of the comments were soo mean, started with women saying mean things and then a few guys.

The comments were like, would be a nice pic if Ceno wasn't in it, Idk it kinda hurt my feelings, I am so kind to people yet they always find a way to piss on my grave.

So anyone on here like that? Just get off on saying horrible **** to people ? Or anyone experienced this before?
Thats what happens when you post pics. People throw rotten eggs at things when they can, see it as free entertainment. Years ago I joined up on face book and quickly had two women I did not know at all and did not know me or anything about me other than my first name - which is English - calling me a stinky ******, pot ridden, and all sorts. Actually I am white, born and bred England, English, It was enough to put me off of being on there at all. With pics guys work out if you are worth having *** with and if you wont meet them and give them *** they are nasty. Happens all the time.

EVERYthing is offensive / hurtful to SOMEone.

Feeling offended is a choice. A choice to give another person power, to care about their opinion, to value their viewpoint even if it is incorrect.

Certainly there is the phenomenon of misdirected anger. Carrying injuries and resentments from real life that they are too impotent or cowardly to address, they vent them against innocent targets, even "trolling" to expurgate the impulse.

Understanding is not the same as tolerating or forgiving. If an attack makes no sense, it can deflate the impact if you understand it could really have little or nothing to do with you personally.

Finances limit options, but to a certain extent, you can literally walk away, remove a person from your life. Never see or hear them again. Leave, change jobs, change your name, get a new life, new friends. This very much includes relatives. Biology is an accident, why let it run your life?

In other eras, the slant was different. Today, *** is common and expected by many men.

Previously, if a man put himself "out there" and didn't follow through with a marriage proposal, he was a bad person, a "cad". Women once as aggressively pursued marriage as many men today pursue ***.

No, bad behavior isn't acceptable, but it can be understandable. Both genders could vastly benefit from taking a mile in the other's shoes.
