Hey everyone...wondering if there are any other atheists out there just to talk about stuff, not saying I wouldn't want to talk to any other religious people. Just sometimes people with religions should keep it to themselves. It just offends me when I'm at school and there's biblical stuff on the walls. It bothers me. And no I'm not evil, I just don't believe in God. Just wondering if any other lonely people here are the same.. Oh, and no I didn't give up 'hope' and become a non-believer. I just want proof, if there were proof, like in-front-of-my-eyes proof. I would be a pure believer. Soo...anyone post...I'm bored.

Why do some people insist to use harder-to-read colours? =P

I'm also an atheist but the people that You refer to aren't simply religious; they're completely (or almost) drenched in belief that they are right about it. Just as You are annoyed about someone trying to force a god or whatever into someone's life, they are annoyed when someone try to force them to quit believe in something that the person in question does not believe exist.

I'd call myself a neutral atheist; i don't care what others believe in so i just don't bring it up or, if someone else did, say more than "I'm an atheist", and that's all i'm gonna say because i don't want to offend anyone's beliefs. They have as much reason to believe in a god as i have to not believe in one. They were probably raised to be religious, so why should i be angry with them for being forced that religion onto them from childhood?

There are good believers and there are bad one's. I'm talking about suicide bombers; can we avoid them in a conversation like this? Everyone else but themselves understand that what they're doing isn't right or have any real purpose. They simply are religoholics; they live because of their god so why not die for "him" as well? As the generally uninterested person i am when it comes to religion, i can't stop wondering if these suiciders one day will "run out" since they obviously live to die.

I'm not an atheist. However, I can UNDERSTAND why people are! This world is so plagued with pain, misery, anger, and injustice!

I'm a Christian Buddhist. I accept the sacrifice of the Christ (the Annointed One) and I accept, as Buddha taught, that Life is Suffering.

If you are an Atheist, please keep an open mind as well. Don't be a hypocrite--many Atheists are JUST as close minded as overly religious folks!

My philosophy is: NEVER be Convinced. Keep your Mind Open to All Possibilities. I accept that, despite the fact that I am a Christian Buddhist, there may be no God and this may be it. However, I cannot accept it 100 percent--I have a slight possibility in atheism.
