The reason that fuckers think that swearing is wrong is because the world we live in is so ****** up, that no ******* person could tell the difference between right or wrong. It has become a ******* grey area.

Seriously, they are only offensive if you allow them to be.
 
Yeah, people are so ****** that they're more offended by ******* words than by someone, like, punching 'em in the ******* face or some ****.
Like all that ******* censorship they have on tv nowadays. Pisses me the hell off.

The reason we don't teach swearing to children is because they are indeed offensive. I don't want kids to be jerks who swears to their parents and everyone around them. If I have kids who do that to me, I won't be angry, instead it will break my heart and the feeling of disappointment and failure as a parent would haunt me for the rest of my life.

Thus I believe the world has become a grey area.

I wouldn't say they are offensive, but inappropriate for children to use. I don't swear in front of my kids. Yes, I have slipped a few times, but I'm no saint and get frustrated no occasion.

Exactly my point. The reason it's inappropriate because it can be used in an offensive way. The words are just words but it can be used offensively. Like, "there's something stuck in your *******" or "you're an *******!" :D

For me, it's better to avoid them all. I use more subtle words like freaking or crap (I think it's ok) or change it to a different word like "What the fart" :) Besides, even though I change the words they still know what I meant :D

When I have kids I will also teach them to do this and let my legacy carry on...

Yeah, but it doesn't matter WHAT word you choose to use. If you use it in an offensive way, it's just as bad.

Now, if I go around saying...."Holy cow, so-and-so is such a strawberry poptart!" That can be taken offensively, depending one what the context is and who the person is. Doesn't matter if you swear or not.
 
For that matter, regular words can be used in an offensive way too. :p The emphasis is put on the words themselves instead of the intention, and that's why kids don't understand it when mommy and daddy tell them not to swear.

You can offend someone just as well by calling them an ignorant troglodyte just as well as you could by calling them a *******.
