Not really, most conversations in real life naturally evolve and the focus moves onto new things. While I can see it might be a little inconvent for people just clicking on a topic theres enough space for multiple conversations in one thread.

No. I know some forums where derailing is a no no and moderators are strict about it,
but i can't see why its a big problem if it happens. Cheeky comments bother me more.
