Ok first things first, It's been a real long time since I've visited this forum! I've been so busy the last year I didn't really had the time to think about being lonely and such...

Things are slowing down a bit now so, I've got more time to think (gladly). Let me speed introduce you with me a bit first :p

I'm almost(!) 22 years old, live in Holland, single my WHOLE life ;(
Haven't had sex, haven't kissed a girl, the closest I've been with a girl must have been a hug or a handshake :( YEAH I know it's pathetic.

Ugly you say? I don't want to brag at all but most of my friends are amazed by the fact that I'm still single and say I'm very "doable" :D

I'm doing college atm, my body is in good shape (gym twice a week), dressing the right way. All in all I have done almost everything you could imagine to make me appealing to the other sex. Yet no luck.

Now for the REAL problem :p

The last couple of years my friend and I always would go out on saterday night :) As most teenagers and young adults would do! Let's say.. I could write a book about all the relationships my friends had :p
Currently I have a group of 8 close friends around me which I usually hang out with. They all have a long-time relationship with a girlfriend(between 1,5 and 2 years(yeah, that's LONG for them! :p trust me I know them)

It seems as those girlfriends have softened up my friends and the last half year or so, we haven't gone out once! Because my friends promised they would find a girl for me :( !

Every saturday night I keep asking if we PLEASE could go out, but it has no use... they respond with the most lame excuses I've heard in a while i.e. "It's cold outside! I don't want to get sick." or "I have this terrible headace!" or "I've promised my girl not to go out".

What can I do about this? Going out is my only way to get in contact with girls! (currently doing a IT- Bachelor education, yep 250 students, all of them are male xD) I can understand my friends have different priorities now, but we are still very young!(The oldest is 24

Are my friends moving on? Are they tired of going out? Are they my friends? Do you think they leave me in the cold? Should I go out all alone?(That must be boring -.-')

Any advice is welcome :)

Cheers,

Maverick

P.S. As for the bragging here and there, I used to be different, to keep it short, my friends said I was to shy and should be more confident(Used to be a real pessimist). Here it is :p

Have you considered having a night in with your friends and their girlfriends? They could, maybe, bring a few new friends for you to meet and, maybe, you'd find someone that way without making anyone unhappy. Just a thought.

I'd say they're maturing. And it would only be a big deal if you make it a big deal. As far as the "bragging" confidence, bragging about stuff isn't confidence, and if you outwardly do that, perhaps that is the reason why females don't want to look your way. It's funny the feeling that people can get off you. If there's a certain aura about you, people most likely pick it up, and the bragging feeling is usually not something people want to constantly put up with.

But you're still so young. Maybe you can find other people to go out with, and I'm sure a girlfriend will come your way soon enough. Maybe this is the movement you needed for that to be set in motion.

There are not many solutions. The solutions that are available you will already be aware of.

Befriend other students, ask to go out with your friends and their girlfriends, go out alone to different places, choose a different day other than saturday, think more confidently and approach women, get lucky at the gym.

Viagra and hookers could have been plugged on a more recent thread too, although I don't recommend plugging either of them. Just a thought, as this thread is from 4 years ago. :)
