Hey everyone! Found this forum and dicided to bring forth my own troubles with finding a good girl to have a relationship with.

Anyway I'm a 20 year old male and the deal is that I've never had a relationship with a girl in my life. Never had a kiss, a date, a meaningful hug. I've never even been close enough to a female to even get a phone number!

One large reason for this is my physical skin disease that I was born with. Basically its a condition that causes my skin to grow much faster then normal, and also causes my skin not to be able to sweat or moisturize itself.

This causes a few different issues:
- rough, very dry skin.
- have to use vasaline all over my body in order to keep my skin moisturized.
-my skin becomes red very easily when exposed to hot outdoors or very physical activities due to sweat glands not working
- a 'slight' unmaskable odor caused by bacteria underneath my overgrown skin.

Now it doesn't look to bad on the outside when its taken care of, however I'm still left with rough, bad smelling, vaseline covered skin which could scare away even the most accepting of women.

Its a disappointing situation considering how many times I've been assured that most girls wont care about my physical condition, and then steping out into the real world I've discovered that it actually is a big deal for most. (very understandable....cant help it that they are human :D)

I do have a lack of self confidence cause by this, which certainly doesn't help my case, but I'm left with a situation where alot of girls that I encounter like me as a person, but dont really want to get involved with me due to being, for lack of a better term, grossed out by my skin, or simply not knowing how to react to me.

When I'm going up against countless guys who have normal, smooth skin that isnt bad smelling and covered in greasy vaseline then I just seem to come up short every time.

I'm really not sure what I'm look to accomplish with this post. I've heard countless advice, I guess I'm just "putting it out there" more then anything.

Yeah, and I'm not exactly sure what to say ;P I don't have any useful advice to give, but don't give up hope.

It's so true what you say about going out into the "real world" - people always say that looks don't matter and it's all about the person you are, but people still judge you anyway.

Even though I say that, I have to stress that I don't decide on whether or not I like a person from their skin. Substance wins out every time. Every time I've had a crush, it was because I was attracted to the person's overall character and way of being rather than their looks.

have you ever thought of going into massage therapy or physical therapy? maybe a chiropractor or some other medical career?

massage therapy because of the oils and lotions. i would imagine you would meet other people with conditions. having an issue of your own would make the setting more comfortable. whores and stuff like to use this title, but its a real medical profession, that people need, and often feel awkward starting and continuing.

physical therapy because of the cool environment. people who have leg disorders due to accidents, or even older people, often go for this. spend all day exercising in a pool. just casual stuff like swimming and floating.

i think both would be good for your issue.

i dont know about a relationship. i would imagine that would come with money from a career. medical careers seem to be worth investing into, and id imagine you would meet people who live close to the same life style that you do. avoiding physical activities, skin or muscle issues, self esteem, etc.

wow i'm really sorry to hear about this coverage,

have you done any reserch on it, what do docters recamend you about it? do thay have any kind o special prescription lotion

maybe instead of using vasalin, us some regular like body and hand lotion go in to like bath and body works they have all kinds of nice and fancy lotions that smell great.

or if you desperatly need to just carry febrez around you and just spray it around where you'r sitting so that you'll smell like spring flowers

( thiss is how i do laundry sometimes when i'm really busy)

jk ;p

i hope you can find a solution

:)
