When I was 20 I had a way more static type. As I grew as a person I started to find way more features attractive. But of all the possible traits to be attracted to the length of someone's bones. Even at my most immature and vapid I couldn't be fussed over that. At least ***** size has some physical implications ie positions that are going to be more satisfying. People can feel free to like what they like I just personally find critical thinking attractive.
Honestly I respect it, but I dont know how ya do it... I'd be a stone cold liar if I said all I find attractive is critical thinking, and I am hugely into intellectual debates.

I mean if I were going to differentiate bases on lacking a quality or feature I'd probably go with critical thinking or another crucial personality trait(would consider physical fitness a personality trait). That's why I went with the example I went with because at least it's practical. I don't find it to be heightism but I think you're doing yourself a disservice by letting something like that dictate your type.

Hmm, I would certainly prefer a woman who was shorter than me if only because I find that cute. I am not particularly tall myself. I've certainly seen men shorter than me but the Internet would have me believe I am below average in height. It doesn't bother me though. If a woman doesn't like my height then that's fine, to each their own. Forget it and move on.

I like the honesty here I have veryyyy tall girl friends from the modelling world who even when they are willing to over look the height thing would struggle to find a guy thats cool with it… its deffo not gender specific.

Well idk im a special case I honestly dont find men very attractive to look at… to the point I thought I was a lesbian or something 😅 cant help that, so theres very little about them I like so small things like their height and eye colour are huge to me, but its not a choice… i didnt choose to like these things. After they tick maybe all of 4 boxes in the looks department of must haves I pray I can find another 10 boxes of substance.

I think the argument about belittling short men is more my passion i’d never do something like that. To the point even when asked I dont specify because I know it can be hurtful, you know?

Women do have all of the best qualities in the looks department. Okay well, in every department, but have you ever seen this NBA player Kemba Walker? That's a gorgeous man lol. Do you find women attractive or just men not as attractive?

We probably would find no common ground on the height thing. Obviously I think I'm right, but in no way do I think that makes me somehow better. I'm sorry if it came off that way. I definitely was like way a **** about all of that and I'm not really sure why. I am really sincerely sorry about the way I chose to write my first response.

I don't believe in censorship but I do believe in self censorship. I think it's good that you don't tell short men, "hey I'm not going to be into you because you're short." What good would that do? I don't really think heightism, ageism, etc should be considered in the dating world. I also don't see logical reasons why someone would be bothered by heightism, but I do agree some would, and it's kind of you not to point out their shortcomings. 😃

I think the point about liking rare qualities may land viscerally for some. Paul Rudd being sexy hits different for men than Alexander Skarsgard. We inherently have no value. If not for monogamy and family structure, etc. we know the few biggest strongest men would replace us all. So for guys I think we're less likely to need everything about us to feel loved.

Does wanting to feel like everything about you is perfect to him ever drive you crazy? Like if you start to wonder about the little things he may really not like that he won't say because he loves the package. Realistically you probably have earlobes or a mole or weird areolas or something that he tries not to think about. Even Megan Fox has toe thumbs.

A certain fellow won't like me for saying this (since he's uber-kind and wise, but has a seeming grudge against injustice in the world, when we live in utopia, but he's wise and cannot see **** happens). he's not a nice person anyhow, so i don't really give a ****, i just laugh as his twisting around on his presentation/views.

But people have a right to their preferences. people can have preferences on anything they wish. that's how dating is and how it's always worked.
if dating on height isn't right, then is dating on general attractiveness level? Or race? or hair colour? or body type/shape? hair length/style? i don't like this modern trend that people have to forego their preferences to make others happy or content. It's just like the uni safe space ideology, where students have to hide in a classroom to feel "safe" because an anti-abortion speaker is coming to campus. there are worse views out there to hold.
