Hi there,

I am so happy to find this message board. I have struggled with loneliness and social issues for my entire life. I am now 31 years old. I'm married to a wonderful man, and am a full time graduate student. Other than my husband and an older uncle, I have no friends at all. It is so hard, since both my late father and my mother were and are social butterflies, with many friends and connections, as is the case with my younger sister. They have no understanding whatsoever as to how hard it is for me. I feel like such a loser around them. :(

Anyway, I really look forward to getting to know this group, and to sharing with ya'll, and hopefully being able to give insight to others as well.

Oh wow there are a lot of older people (compared to me) coming onto these forums as of late. It's great! It used to be a ton of 20-somethings, but now the older crowd is wandering in. :)

Thanks for coming, we're glad to have you. ^____^

Hi and Welcome!
I can certainly relate to your situation- I am 32, married, in graduate school full-time, and my younger sister was a cheerleader in high school and is the type that has a million friends and is always out doing something. It is hard to cope with sometimes.
I can say that while I have only been on this site a few days, I have met some great people and have enjoyed it.
Feel free to PM me if you ever want someone to talk to about anything.
