got a hot date tonight! whew!

yup, taking my 10 year old daughter to dinner and a movie!

it's time for some daddy/daughter time after a long, stressful month for our family. we will go to red robin, she loves the burgers! me too! not sure which movie yet though...

the one good thing i ever did. at least at the end of the day, i can feel a sense of accomplishment for being a good dad. (not to toot my own horn or anything)

Taking my daughter out is my favorite way to spend the night. I always hug her and thank her for joining me at dinner and movies.

the closest i can get to that sort of thing is to take one of my cats out--side.

On a leash? lol Cats love leashes.

yeah, they love it about as much as they love being bathed.. if you're into scarrification it might be a good idea :p

I have never tried to bathe our cat. He might actually kill me. As it is, the vet needs to sedate him just to clip his claws or brush his teeth. There is no way I would try to get him into a tub of water.

very wise. i don't take my cats to get their claws clipped, they use everything in my apartment for that.. everything EXCEPT the scratching post. i even tried teaching them to use it by scratching it myself and making happy noises.. they just looked at me like i was an idiot.

My couch is TRASHED because the furry ******* uses that as his scratching post.

My kids think I have to get him the Emery Cat so he'll use that instead. "It even comes with catnip," they say excitedly.

Yeah, sure. He'd get high off the grass and then proceed to rip the hell out of my couch anyway.

man, the bit where they 'simulate' cutting a cats claws and tell us that it can be painful for the cat if it's too close to the nerve endings --cue cat scream-- made me wince..

yeah, that's it, in order for your cat to have any chance of actually using that thing, you have to get it wasted first. i doubt my cats would be interested.. they'd probably check it out and look at me like, 'well, ****! you just threw you money away, didn't ya chump"
