Sometimes being sorry is enough, sometimes it isn't. But its usually at least a good start.

Past a point, the damage someone caused suggests deeper issues that apologies can't fix.

When sorry is used genuinely then it can do a whole lot of good, but if it is used by the same person again and again then it can become redundant (overused).
