Lonely Young Woman Seeks Deep and Meaningful Friendships .... Online?

Hey y'all

So I came across this website because I was doing a search on having no best friend,almost certain that the universe hates me enough for not blessing me with one in my formative years. Being an only child hasn't helped in the slightest.

But apparently I'm not alone.

My name is Emilia, I'm from Sydney, Australia and I turn 21 on November 11th. Apart from my fruitless quest for love and friendship, I am a Uni student studying primary school teaching.

I consider myself to be loyal, loving and compassionate, but sometimes very silent. In a culture that encourages joking around and leaving no spaces in the conversations we have, I have been feeling very left out and alone as friendship groups form around me. It's like seeing roses bloom around you while your garden can only barely produce shoots.

I am also a bit dim witted, naive and scary looking and I get judgmental looks from every old person ever it seems.

But yeah. Hopefully I'll actually find my romantic or platonic soul mate somewhere. Who knows? Maybe they're here?

I've made lots of friends here, so there is definitely hope. Although, I don't know if you'll find anyone in Australia, but we've had a few of them here.

Scary looking? I'm a big fat woman with piercing eyes and a cold demeanour, probably.

That and I can't socialise worth a damn.

Thanks, I'm quite partial to my chicken. My son brought him home from school one day and I couldn't resist taking a pic. lol

I doubt you are as scary looking as you think. A lot of the people here have trouble socializing, so you're in good company here
