I am a 60-year-old in good shape and generally good spirits. I have always had trouble meeting new people, dyslexic as a child I grew up very shy. I have had significant others in my life but relying on fate to connect me is not working.
I have relied on my nephew David and his family to be my emotional connections.
Ben his youngest is in first grade now and getting over his "selective mutism". I have been around since he was born. We built an igloo last week. I did what I set out to do help him, help him to communicate better, make sure he felt loved and listened too. Soon he will be a teenager and need me around less, which was always the goal.
While my nephew and I have a great friendship, but I may have been around more than I should and am afraid to, where out my welcome with his wife.
I need to build personal relationships, in addition to my nephew and his friends.
I like movies, chess with a friend, walking, nature but have few other active hobbies.
I have done some traveling (not enough), some painting, stained glass and wood working
