Mom adopting me at age 10 was a positive experience for me. I grew up with my bio mom whom was an alcoholic and did sexually abuse me. Dad left when I was 5 years old raising me on her own I remembered her drinking when I came home from school having a beer in her hand. the sexual abuse, she molestated me at times. I was lucky to get removed from that home, neighbor called CPS and the police seeing the horrible conditions which she brought me into her home seeing I had nothing to eat. She had leftover chicken noodle soup that she did cook in a pan on the stove and I told her thank you glad to eat something. I was 9 at the time. My clothes were horrible hand me downs. CPS took me in and knew I was not to be brought back to that home with my bio mom. Bio mom died of alcohol poisoning after I was removed from that home. This was in October of 1988 and put in a foster home. My mom saw me and said she wanted to adopt me. I saw a her with a heart of gold and that is when the adoption process started. First time I was in her home, seen it clean and had a room that was clean too. Had some new clean clothes for me too. She shown me something too, I got a lease on life going to have a parent that shows love. It was in December of 1988 after I turned 10 the adoption became final. Both had tears of joy out of our eyes hearing it was final. Introduced me to her family that welcomed me in too. Plus has let me be me. One was she did catch me wearing a pair of her pantyhose and told her I am a happy boy with a female side that likes to come out. Realized I was a crossdresser also having a part time daughter that wanted out. She did and has been supportive to this day with my crossdressing. Has taught me love is only allowed in her home, not hate
