So your issue is that you being well dressed and more visually attractive annoys you as it makes you more attractive to the opposite sex. Also the fact that a women giving you a second glance means they are only after the superficial qualities in a man?
Well what other qualities are they going to look for in a person they just walked past in a shopping maul? I mean really, how much are you reading into a second glance?!! Its a shopping maul, its a place to go and window shop isn't it!
Maybe they just lack the ability to stare deep into a passer-by's soul and sense their innermost qualities. Do you have this quality Firebird?? Do you purposely overlook a well presented woman and reward the dressed down one with a glance that would make her go weak at the knees? Just be honest with yourself man, have you ever thought "ah she looks quite plain and unattractive and not making the most of herself, I would love to spend some time getting to know her as she is probably really nice on the inside" or do you see a person you think attractive and give them a second glance like the rest of the world has for the last 4 million years.
Initial attraction is superficial because it has to be, if you want to look to attract some attention from a stranger then making yourself look presentable helps, then once a superficial connection is made you get to know each other and look for something a bit deeper.
It's really not rocket science.
