Hi, I just want to take a minute to introduce myself. I have been married for 20 years and we have 6 kids. And lately in a house full of people I feel completely alone. My husband has become so selfish lately that I am really considering ending my marriage. He does what he wants to do doesn't do what he doesn't want to do (which is usually helping with the kids). I truly feel that by me staying I am setting a horrible example for our kids.....our daughters will think it's okay to be a doormat and our sons will think it's okay to treat a woman as a doormat. It is nice to have a forum to vent in because my words at home are falling on deaf ears.

Hello. Welcome..I'm really glad you are considering standing up for yourself. You don't deserve that and it's good to know that you are thinking of your kids too. My mom has been a doormat all of her life and it has caused my brothers and sisters to have horrible lives...not the same situation but had she ever not been so knowingly walked all over maybe we would have had a somewhat happier childhood.
