I make a point of chatting to my older customers and occasionally making them laugh also trying to solve alot of stuff they cant do themselves so they dont have to employ outside workman.Alot are lonely its obvious by the way they regale with their stories and some even come out during work to chat ,one even brings a chair out , he's recently lost his wife.Another old gent I've been working for donkeys years invites me in before I start for 20 minutes and over the years he's like an old friend and like me he loves a good natter and a laugh.
I do wish I could do some charity work but my old problem won't allow it unfortunately.

I've done a lot of nice things for people, but part of this forum would assume otherwise. Let's put my list of good deeds I've done and continue to do. There's tons more, but here are top 10.
  1. I've paid for someone else's groceries when they didn't have enough.
  2. I've given a random stranger a gift card that had about $15 left on it.
  3. I've let people cut in front of me if they only had an item or two, especially if they were elderly or pregnant.
  4. I've given people compliments, and consoled those who needed it
  5. I've held doors open and have helped carry things for people.
  6. I've given to my family, friends, and strangers just because.
  7. I've donated to favorite charities of mine as well as GoFundMe accounts.
  8. I've donated massive amounts of my personal belongings and brand-new items to those in need and still do it until this day.
  9. I've helped those with mental health issues, and those who were su!c!d@l. They thanked me later, and some of them gained a friendship with me over time. I do CNA work, because some people can no longer do for themselves, and were robbed of that capability when they got sick.
  10. I warn people about certain situations, so that they can protect themselves.
  11. I help those who have phone & computer issues who don't know how to even operate the slightest thing, free of charge.
  12. I give advice, free of charge.

I sent my regular in the Tampa area some help for her and her family (she lives with her mother/sister/sister's kid) for Hurricanes Helene & Milton after FEMA gave them nothing. Really nasty how the folks in Florida & the Carolinas were treated after those two disasters.
