I'd like to share these photos of one volunteering event I joined to. A few months ago two ship collided to each other (ikr, aint the ocean big enough?? ) that caused an oil spill and affected some fishing communities in my province. So a group of really nice people took the initiative to do a feeding program.
I wanna point out that this thread is not about how I volunteered cos I was just really a worker bee in that event. I joined because there was an opportunity. My point in posting is to share the value of volunteering and my joy for people who really set asside time of their busy lives to organize events like this (my friend who invited me is a school principal but she was one of the people who spearheaded the event). These are regular people too who get angry at the annoying kids sometimes, who also have flaws of their own but just know what they can do, what they can share and see a problem as n opportunity to do more good things.
The feeding went on for 2 weeks i think. Every day at a different town. The pics below are in just one area and only the shots i took as i my battery was low that day.

Please share your volunteering stories as well. And maybe we could inspire a member on ALL to participate in an event like this once the opportunity knocks on their doors
