Clothes, as usual. (goo) But I'm hoping this year my Mom will actually take me out to buy clothes instead of buying them for me. :D I'm hoping to get a nice simple lady suit so I have something to wear when I get my internship.

I'm not too big on gifts, but the family reunions are actually fun here. Weird stuff, I know.

(I'm almost on-topic this time. It's an improvement!)

That settles it. Let's us lonely people boycott the holidays...

We just can't do it together since that seems a bit counter-intuitive.

So if you're not doing anything this holiday season...keep doing that.

I have kids, I can't get out of it

I want nothing, really. Perhaps some peace and quiet. Yeah, for Christmas I'd like everyone to be out doing their own thing, and for me to have the house to myself. That would be nice.

Maybe I'll spend the day at a coffee house, people watching. The chai tea at Starbucks is pretty tasty.

I have two kids and a wife who's a little nutzoid about the holiday too. I am a Buddhist and loathe the obsession with GETTING. Maybe we could just have a retreat for Grinches? No gifts, no turkey, just hamburgers and booze and an occasional trip outside to piss on an evergreen. lol

Hell yes it is. There's a mix you can buy from Fresh and Easy or Walmart to make your own at home that tastes just as good as the five buck-a-cup stuff.

Hot tea is ok, good for winter days, but I'm a coffee hound pretty much.

I really don't like coffee but do thoroughly enjoy tea. Green tea with honey and black with lemon mostly for cold days, then cold chai or iced tea for hot.

I'm completely for the grinch retreat as well. We can be antisocial together.

I don't know why I'm not a fan of Christmas. Maybe because I never built any memories (good or bad) around it where as most people do? And now I'm a Scrooge.

Hell I don't even celebrate my birthdays anymore.

I'm just no fun. :p

I used to drink a lot more tea than I do now. I drink more in the winter.

Retreat sounds good. It's all the christian stuff that I don't care for, ha, suppose ya can't avoid it. Mostly it's the 'I want' attitudes. My mom used to say all she wanted was her kids to be happy. Even she'd been unhappy to get nothing, though, I'm sure.

I don't know about anything religion related.

I was picturing a campfire and some cabins or tents or something. You know s'mores and stuff. :p That's my idea of a retreat.
