I've had my share of girlfriends in my life that I have cared a great deal about, but have never truly loved any of them. What does it feel like to be in love? I've heard some say it's like every day is a sunny and warm one, your whole life becomes much brighter when you look into the eyes of the one you love. Stuff like that.

I don't know what that feels like, but it must be some powerful. Just curious.

Godspeed.

I believe it's a feeling specific to each person that experiences it. There's not really a single shared answer.

Personally, I believe I know I'm in love with a person when I am only concerned for his or her happiness, whatever may bring that.

I know what loving my family feels like, but I believe
that loving someone outside your family must be much different. I can't really know for sure, because as I said, I have never truly loved a woman. Because of this, I can't make a comparison.

I care for my family, I get concerned when one of them is sick or if one gets hurt. I would die protecting any of them. Surely these must be the same feelings for your girlfriend or boyfriend right? Perhaps there are different degrees and kinds of love in the world.

There are.
Plenty'a stuff I'd do for/with and feel for someone I was romantically involved with that I wouldn't for a family member. As people become closer with romantic partners, they tend to become less attached to their families as well. They start new families.

Is that like an inside joke that only women understand? Because I'll be completely honest. I have no idea what women are thinking half the time.

Irish cream for me.

The feeling of eating delicious ice cream is equal to the feeling of true love.

So what you are saying is that if it's true love that I'm looking for, I should forget the women and pick up a tub of Ben&Jerry's?

Yes.
