Why don't you try it and find out? If you have to ask, then you probably can't understand. I mean if thousands of love songs on the radio and cheap television skits don't adequately explain it, what will? You think we could do any better? Whatever can be imagined can be told, but experience speaks only for itself.

It is the way, the truth, and the life... but you have to be committed to maintaining it or else it will fall apart one way or another. The magic can become stale, secrets can build up, your eyes may wander, or you might start putting yourself above the one you love, or it could just be the cold grip of reality come to tare you asunder.
The stars bring and the stars take away. Everything is done in cycles; Love is an attempt to defy those cycles.

Offering up your heart is a gamble, and once its broken it's never quite the same. You realize life is a worthless chemical illusion where everything is a neverending food chain devoted to death. Thats what nature really is. You realize that you came into this world alone, and will leave it alone, and whose to say what you'll be when its all said and done. Energy to be recycled and reformed into something else. Who you are, what you stand for, what you accomplish, what does it ultimately mean? Its just the temporary flow of whatever you can get away with till death makes an end of you.
Life is but a meal served onto death and those who love one another are the salt of the earth.

Love is a trick nature plays, so that you reproduce. Scientific tests done on fruit flies showed that delaying reproduction led to longer lifespans for themselves and their descendants. Nature will bargain with you a little in hopes you'll reproduce, and once you do natural selection makes you disposable. In this mother nature leaves her sign in the black widow, who eats her husband once hes bred with her. The universe, likewise, is a black widow that will eat you once you've outlived your usefulness, but in the observer based reality we are the men, we are the gods, as we measure so shall it be measured onto us. In the words of the living one "He that has come to understand the world has found a carcass, and of him the world is not worthy."

Once that heart is broken you learn how to keep it real. You know what to expect and focus on what is profitable. Nothing lasts forever anyway.

Note: this is NOT my kind of music... which is exactly why I chose it.

lol, I wasn't trying to be condescending or anything, just trying to be deep. There is only so much you can explain. It's often an irrational obsession, but it brings out the best in us. It can be a shining beacon in a world of darkness. and to some degree its how we all should be. I mean the principles are the same, but the infatuation and sex part is meant to be exclusive. If you ever experience that, that person will become your whole world.

You weren't being condescending. You made valid points.:)

I don't think that love "feels" like any particular thing - I think it's more the reason behind all kinds of other feelings: It makes you feel comfortable when you're with that person; and happy when you think about that person (usually); it makes you feel frustrated when you argue with them and angry when things don't go well - but I think love is also what keeps you from leaving or just saying "**** it" when you feel frustrated or angry with them - it makes you want to work things out rather than wipe the slate clean.

It gives you the stomach and courage to do things you wouldn't normally do because it's what needs to be done for the one you love (I could write pages of examples on this one); it's what makes you hold back the tears when you have to be strong for her, no matter how bad it may hurt; it's what makes you sit with her and hold her hand when she's scared and doesn't want to be alone, and makes you try to comfort her no matter how scared you are. It's what gives you the strength to tell her you're sorry for all the the times you yelled at or said mean things to her, because you know you may not have another chance to do so.

Hope that helps.

Oh its an amazing feeling, can't describe in words!!
Hope you fall in true love soon :p

Dang... I want some ice cream now!

On a more serious note.. It's having the comfort, trust, happiness, and fun all together with a person and they just make you feel really good and in their presence. It's much more about what it does to you though.. you just have it for the other person and want to be there for them.

I equate the sensation of "being in love" with a more tangible process of blissful ignorance. All of your hopes and desires are put into this other entity (outside of yourself). All of your fears and expectations have to be perfectly dealt with (or at least convince yourself they are). Total and unshakeable trust in another human. An abolute belief that you will always be together and always be perfect for the other.

LOL, oh **** me, I can't stop laughing now. ****, man. ****.

Yes, definitely ice cream.

I couldn't get laid in a woman's prison with a pound of weed. My ice cream always melts. They say that there are plenty of fish in the sea. Well, my sea is polluted.

Put your ice cream in the freezer, then.

It's already packed with previously melted Rocky Road.
