One thing San Diego lacks is a real Chinatown area or "International District" (there is a Mexican joint or taco stand on just about every freaking corner though). What I love and miss eating is decent, real Chinese & Vietnamese food in places where I am the only white guy around. I especially love dim sum... Shaomai, pot stickers, chiu chao, little ribs, meatballs, etc... (I usually pass on the chicken feet and fried jellyfish though).
As for a beverage - It's a toss up between iced tea with lots of lemon or good old fashioned percolated black coffee.
